Alaska Business Week sets date for 2015 business boot camp

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska Business Week’s Summer 2015 business boot camp registration will be opening on Jan. 1, 2015.

What’s all this business about Business Week?

Alaska Business Week (ABW) is a one-week summer program teaching the basic principles of private sector business to Alaskan high school students. Participants live on a college campus, where they grow as leaders, mentored by Alaska’s business elite.

What can Alaskan businesses do to help?

ABW is an expensive endeavor. Tuition for the program is only $475, which puts ABW in line with other weeklong summer programs. However, the actual cost for each student exceeds $1,900. Costs include housing, food, program materials, tuition and activity fees. It is only through our sponsors in the business community that we are able to offer this great program. There are lots of ways businesses can help – either through sponsorship or providing volunteers.
